Here’s how to disable X (Twitter) from using your data to train its Grok AI

This setting processes user interactions and content for AI training, which could also be shared with the service provider xAI. Fortunately, users can deactivate this feature and erase their AI conversation history through X’s desktop interface.

To disable the setting, users must navigate to the "Privacy and safety" section under the settings menu on X's desktop version, select "Grok," and uncheck the relevant box. Additionally, users have the option to delete any stored conversation history with Grok AI by clicking on the "Delete conversation history" button.

This strategy is part of a broader initiative by X’s owner, Elon Musk, who announced earlier that xAI is employing "the most powerful AI training cluster in the world" to develop Grok. This effort aims to position Grok as the leading AI by all measures by December 2024. Cities like Haifa, Rio de Janeiro, and Bangalore have already implemented this system in 70 intersections, observing up to 30% reduction in stops and a 10% reduction in emissions. The AI not only considers typical traffic flow but also adjusts for anomalies and regional variations without the need for costly new equipment. This initiative demonstrates how AI can facilitate a smarter, more sustainable urban environment by enhancing the efficiency of existing traffic infrastructure​

Regular ChatGPT and autonomous AI agents are both powered by large language models (LLMs), but they differ significantly in their capabilities and how they operate.

Regular ChatGPT: ChatGPT is a conversational AI model trained on vast amounts of text data. It excels at language understanding and generation tasks, such as answering questions, writing content, and engaging in discussions. However, it has some key limitations:

  1. Static Knowledge: ChatGPT's knowledge is limited to its training data, with a specific cutoff date. It can't access real-time information or learn new facts during a conversation.

  2. No External Actions: It can't perform actions outside of text generation, such as accessing the internet or running external programs.

  3. Lack of Real-Time Data: If you ask ChatGPT, "What is the response time for learnwithhasan.com?", it cannot provide an accurate, up-to-date answer because it has no way to check the website's current status.

Autonomous AI Agents: Autonomous agents, on the other hand, integrate LLMs with additional components that significantly expand their capabilities:

  1. External Function Integration: They can execute external functions and access real-time data. For example, an autonomous agent could use a function like "get_website_response_time(url)" to check the actual response time of a website.

  2. ReAct System Prompt: This allows the agent to "think" about how to approach a task, breaking it down into steps.

  3. Dynamic Problem-Solving: Agents can reason through complex tasks, choosing appropriate actions based on the current context.

Here's how an autonomous agent might handle the question about website response time:

  1. Receive the query: "What is the response time for learnwithhasan.com?"

  2. Think: "To answer this, I need to check the current response time of the website."

  3. Action: Execute the "get_website_response_time('learnwithhasan.com')" function.

  4. Receive Result: Get the actual response time (e.g., 0.5 seconds).

  5. Respond: "The current response time for learnwithhasan.com is 0.5 seconds."

This process allows autonomous agents to provide up-to-date, accurate information and perform tasks that require interaction with the external world, which regular ChatGPT cannot do.

In essence, while regular ChatGPT is like a highly knowledgeable conversationalist, an autonomous AI agent is more like an assistant that can not only converse but also actively gather information and perform tasks in real-time.
