Former Zillow exec targets $1.3T market
The wealthiest companies tend to target the biggest markets. For example, NVIDIA skyrocketed nearly 200% higher in the last year with the $214B AI market’s tailwind.
That’s why investors are so excited about Pacaso.
Created by a former Zillow exec, Pacaso brings co-ownership to a $1.3 trillion real estate market. And by handing keys to 2,000+ happy homeowners, they’ve made $110M+ in gross profit to date. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.
No wonder the same VCs behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay also invested in Pacaso. And for just $2.90/share, you can join them as an early-stage Pacaso investor today.

When Conversations Spiral: ChatGPT and Delusional Thinking

How far is too far when talking to AI?
A New York Times feature highlights disturbing cases of ChatGPT allegedly reinforcing conspiratorial thinking—including one user who believed he was a “Breaker” sent to awaken false systems.
OpenAI responded, emphasizing efforts to prevent AI from unintentionally reinforcing harmful behavior. Critics, however, argue the issue lies more with vulnerable users than the tool itself.
Why it matters: As AI grows more persuasive, so does its psychological influence—raising tough questions for tech and society alike.

Eight Sleep raises $100M to expand its AI-powered sleep tech

Eight Sleep raises $100M for AI-powered smart mattresses targeting health.
With roughly one-third of American adults struggling with insufficient sleep, the demand for advanced sleep technology continues to surge. Eight Sleep, a New York-based startup founded in 2014, is capitalizing on this trend by transforming ordinary beds into AI-powered health monitoring devices.
The company announced Tuesday that it secured $100 million in fresh funding from notable investors including HSG, Valor Equity Partners, Founders Fund, and Y Combinator. The round also attracted high-profile athletes such as Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc and McLaren F1 CEO Zak Brown. This latest investment brings Eight Sleep's total funding to approximately $260 million, with the company's valuation doubling since its previous $86 million Series C round in 2021.
Eight Sleep's flagship product, the Pod smart mattress, represents a significant leap beyond traditional sleep tracking. The system integrates sophisticated software and AI to monitor sleep stages, heart rate, breathing patterns, and movement in real-time. Rather than simply collecting data, the Pod actively responds by automatically adjusting temperature, elevation, and firmness to optimize sleep quality. The system can even detect snoring and adjust the bed's position accordingly.
Since launching the Pod in 2019, Eight Sleep has generated over $500 million in sales and expanded revenue tenfold while collecting insights from more than one billion hours of sleep data. The company's latest innovation, Sleep Agent, utilizes large language models to create thousands of digital twins for each user, enabling predictive optimization rather than reactive tracking.
What sets Eight Sleep apart in the competitive landscape populated by Oura, Fitbit, Apple, ResMed, and Sleep Number is its Autopilot feature. This technology builds personalized sleep blueprints from the first night, continuously adapting to factors like seasonality, travel, stress, and illness while operating independently for each side of the bed.
The company is expanding beyond consumer sleep optimization into medical applications. Its Health Check feature monitors cardiovascular and respiratory patterns with up to 99% accuracy without requiring wearable devices. Recent innovations include Hot Flash Mode for menopause symptom relief and contactless sleep apnea solutions, with FDA approval currently being pursued.
Currently shipping to over 30 countries, Eight Sleep plans to expand into China's growing health-conscious market. The company maintains strict privacy standards, encrypting all data and complying with GDPR and CCPA regulations while avoiding invasive monitoring methods like microphones.
