Hightouch's AI marketing tools drive company to $100M revenue milestone
Hightouch reaches $100M ARR fueled by marketing tools powered by AI
The marketing industry has undergone a dramatic transformation. Where brands once depended on creative teams and external agencies to produce personalized ad content, artificial intelligence is now revolutionizing how marketing campaigns are created and executed.
Hightouch, a seven-year-old startup, has emerged as a leader in this shift with its AI-powered marketing platform. In late 2024, the company introduced a groundbreaking service that enables marketing professionals to generate custom content independently, serving major brands including Domino's, Chime, PetSmart, and Spotify without traditional design team involvement.
The results have been remarkable. Since launching its AI product 20 months ago, Hightouch has generated an additional $70 million in annualized recurring revenue (ARR), propelling the company to a significant milestone of $100 million in total ARR.
"Before GenAI, it was impossible for someone without many, many years of design skills to create consumer-level assets," explains Kashish Gupta, Hightouch's co-CEO. The company operates under dual leadership, with Gupta alongside co-CEO Tejas Manohar, who previously served as an engineering manager at Segment before its $3.2 billion acquisition by Twilio in 2020.
What sets Hightouch apart is its sophisticated approach to AI-generated content. While many brands initially experimented with general foundational AI models, they quickly discovered significant limitations. These broad AI systems, which power standard chatbots, lack specific brand knowledge and often produce content that fails to meet professional standards.
"Foundation models didn't know about specific consumer brands, whether it was colors or fonts, tone, or assets," Gupta notes. "The LLMs would hallucinate products that didn't exist, and you can't do advertising and emails on products that don't exist."
Hightouch's solution addresses these challenges through direct integration with existing creative workflows. The platform connects seamlessly to customers' established tools, including Figma design files, photo libraries, and content management systems. This integration allows the AI to "learn" each company's unique brand identity, style guidelines, and visual assets.
The platform's AI agents leverage this brand-specific knowledge alongside customer insights to autonomously create personalized ad campaigns. This eliminates traditional bottlenecks where marketers waited for designer availability or developer resources, enabling faster campaign deployment and iteration.
Quality control remains paramount in Hightouch's approach. The AI focuses on creating professional-grade images and videos that avoid the artificial or generic appearance often associated with AI-generated content. Rather than creating assets from scratch, the system intelligently combines authentic brand elements with generated backgrounds and complementary design elements.
"For example, Domino's will never generate a pizza," Gupta illustrates. "They'll always use existing images of pizza, and they'll place it into an ad where the background might be generated, and other things might be generated around it."
This hybrid approach ensures brand authenticity while leveraging AI's efficiency and personalization capabilities. The strategy has proven highly effective, enabling rapid scaling across diverse brand portfolios while maintaining consistent quality standards.
The company's growth trajectory reflects strong market validation. Hightouch now employs approximately 380 people and achieved a $1.2 billion valuation during its $80 million Series C funding round in February 2025, led by Sapphire Ventures.
As AI continues reshaping marketing workflows, Hightouch's success demonstrates the potential for technology that enhances rather than replaces human creativity, providing marketers with powerful tools while preserving the authentic brand experiences that resonate with consumers.

⚡ Trends for the Future
AI learning app Gizmo levels up with 13M users and a $22M investment
Gizmo secures $22M Series A funding after reaching 13 million users.
Since launching in 2021, Gizmo has experienced remarkable growth, transforming from a promising AI-powered learning platform into a global phenomenon with over 13 million users across 120+ countries. This represents a massive leap from the 300,000 users the company had when last covered in 2023.
The dramatic user growth has caught investors' attention, resulting in a $22 million Series A funding round announced Tuesday. Led by Shine Capital, the round included participation from Ada Ventures, Seek Investments, GSV, and returning investor NFX, which previously led Gizmo's $3.5 million seed round.
Gizmo's platform uses artificial intelligence to convert students' notes into interactive study materials, targeting teenagers and young adults through gamified learning experiences. The app incorporates game mechanics like leaderboards, streaks, limited daily lives for incorrect answers, and friend challenges to maintain user engagement.
This gamification approach addresses a critical challenge in education technology: sustaining student attention in an era of declining academic performance and shortened attention spans. With young learners increasingly drawn to platforms like TikTok and YouTube, Gizmo aims to redirect screen time toward productive learning.
The timing appears strategic, as academic performance in the U.S. has reached historic lows according to the 2025 National Assessment of Educational Progress. Excessive screen time and reduced attention spans have been identified as contributing factors to this decline.
CEO Petros Christodoulou plans to use the funding to expand Gizmo's engineering and AI teams while increasing presence in the U.S. college market. The company will scale from seven employees to approximately 30.
Gizmo's growth stands out in the competitive micro-learning space, which includes established players like Anki and Quizlet, as well as newer entrants like Yuno (1 million downloads) and Knowt (7 million users). Achieving 13 million users in just a few years demonstrates the platform's strong market fit and engagement strategy.
