🙏🏼 Here’s what’s going on this week…

🤖 #1 Insight this week :

Meta releases new AI tool to create music and audio from text prompts

Meta, on Wednesday, released AudioCraft, an open-source AI tool that allows users to create music and audio from text prompts. The tool consists of three models: MusicGen, AudioGen, and EnCodec.

Why do you need to know that? MusicGen was trained on Meta-owned and specifically licensed music, and it can generate music from text prompts.

AudioGen, on the other hand, was trained on a dataset of sound effects that were freely available online. It can be used to create audio content based on a user's text input.

EnCodec is a decoder that will improve the quality of music generated by MusicGen. This means that EnCodec can make the music sound more realistic and natural.

Google’s Mind Reading AI

Google created an AI that can create music from your brain activity.

This is Brain2Music which matches the genre, rhythm, mood, and instruments of music a person recently heard. Hear it yourself.

This AI program was trained to find links between music features and participants' brain signals.

Why do you need to know that? Imagine using this AI to compose personalized soundtracks tailored to target audiences’ emotions.

Maybe we can create our own music based on the music we enjoy in the future.

Global AI investments could reach $200B by 2025, Goldman Sachs says

According to a new report by financial giant Goldman Sachs, global investment in AI is expected to reach $200 billion by 2025. The report states that generative AI has the potential to boost global labor productivity by more than 1 percentage point a year in the decade following its widespread usage.

📌Insight: Intel CEO says it won’t stop using AI, ever 😱

During the Q2 2023 earnings call, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said the company will build AI into every product it builds.

Details:

  • Intel's upcoming consumer chip, Meteor Lake, will have a built-in neural processor for machine learning tasks.

  • Gelsinger emphasizes that AI won't always rely on the cloud and expects AI to be in all Intel products.

  • Intel aims to enable AI at the client and edge levels.

Why it matters: 76.7% of laptops in the world use Intel processors. AI being built directly into those processors is game-changing.

👩🏻‍💼 Million $$$ Mindset

Will we lose our jobs to AI? I'm not looking to replace my team, but AI does bring up a valid question that many people ask - will it take our jobs? The answer is yes, in some cases, but that can be a good thing. Just like email replaced some jobs, machines can do some jobs better than people, making our society more efficient.

However, this means we need to evolve our skills and reskill ourselves to be able to take on higher-value jobs. We can use AI as a tool to boost our creativity by spending less time on tasks and more on unique ideas. AI can be used by people as an innovative tool to help us achieve more, rather than as a replacement for our jobs. There's a lot of potential for growth and creativity if we evolve alongside AI.
