⚡🔋Meta AI Bug Leaked Private Chats
And more: Google AI Summaries Hit Publishers; AI Coding Moves from Editor to Terminal
Good morning ☀️, leader of the next generation.
I believe this: Technology, when used with intention, doesn’t distract us — it awakens us.
It shows us who we are. What we can build. How far we can go. It strips away the noise and gives us tools that let our natural genius come through.
That we stop waiting for the world to hand us permission — and we start using the tools already in our hands to create, to express, to become.
This is not about keeping up. It’s about breaking through.

🔐 Privacy & Security
Meta fixes bug that could leak users’ AI prompts and generated content

Security flaw revealed private AI conversations—Meta responds.
Meta patched a critical privacy bug in its AI assistant that let users access others' prompts and generated replies. The flaw was rooted in weak ID protections and poor authorization checks, discovered by researcher Sandeep Hodkasia.
⚠️ Simple Exploit, Serious Risk
Users could manipulate prompt IDs in browser network tools to view others' private AI chats. Meta’s servers failed to check if requesters had permission, exposing sensitive info like creative writing, business ideas, and personal queries.
💰 The Role of Bug Bounties
Meta paid $10K to Hodkasia for responsibly disclosing the issue. The fix came a month later, with no signs of widespread abuse. Still, the incident shows how AI systems need stronger pre-launch security validation.
🔍 Privacy in the Age of AI
Unlike typical breaches, leaked AI prompts can reveal deeply personal or intellectual content. As users treat chatbots like digital confidants, protecting these interactions becomes a high-stakes privacy priority.
🌐 Trust, Transparency & AI
While Meta’s transparency and fix earned some credit, the incident underscores an industry-wide challenge: racing to ship AI features without compromising user trust or overlooking fundamental security hygiene.

📰 AI & News
Google Discover Adds AI Summaries, Threatening Publishers with Further Traffic Declines
AI summaries now replace article headlines in Google Discover
Google has begun rolling out AI-generated summaries in its Discover feed, replacing traditional headlines with quick overviews. While intended to help users scan content faster, the change could further erode publisher traffic—already down 15% YoY globally.
The summaries, now shown alongside publisher logos, cite original sources but warn they “can make mistakes.” News outlets worry that reduced visibility and click-throughs will weaken ad-based revenue models, especially as zero-click searches continue rising.
Google’s new tools like Offerwall may provide alternative monetization options, but many publishers feel these efforts are too little, too late.

AI Coding Tools Are Shifting to a Surprising Place: The Terminal

AI development moves beyond code editors to command-line interfaces
The details:
A new wave of AI coding tools is ditching the IDE and heading to the terminal. Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI are part of a trend putting agents at the system level—not just in your code.
Tools like Warp lead the way in Terminal-Bench rankings by solving complex DevOps-style problems across the whole environment—not just fixing bugs in existing files.
With classic tools like Windsurf facing internal turmoil and benchmarks showing slower real-world results, the terminal may offer a more powerful home for AI agents to operate freely.
What makes this crucial: The terminal is back—and it may be where agentic AI gets serious, tackling deeper problems like environment setup, system builds, and low-level automation.
