Good morning ☀️, leader of the next generation.
I believe this: Technology, when used with intention, doesn’t distract us — it awakens us.
It shows us who we are. What we can build. How far we can go.
It strips away the noise and gives us tools that let our natural genius come through.
That we stop waiting for the world to hand us permission — and we start using the tools already in our hands to create, to express, to become.
This is not about keeping up.
It’s about breaking through.

AMD secures massive multi-year OpenAI partnership worth tens of billions
AMD to supply 6GW of compute capacity to OpenAI in chip deal worth tens of billions

AMD has landed a game-changing multi-year agreement with OpenAI that promises to generate tens of billions in revenue while significantly boosting the chipmaker's position in the artificial intelligence market. This massive partnership represents one of the largest chip supply deals in AI history.
Under the agreement, AMD will deliver 6 gigawatts of computing power to OpenAI—an enormous amount of capacity that could power approximately 4.5 million homes. The supply will span multiple generations of AMD's Instinct GPU series, beginning with the upcoming Instinct MI450 GPU. OpenAI is expected to receive its first gigawatt of capacity during the second half of 2026 when the new chips become available.
AMD is positioning its MI450 series as superior to Nvidia's comparable Rubin CPX offerings, promising enhanced performance through both hardware and software innovations. Many of these improvements will incorporate direct input from OpenAI, creating a collaborative development approach. The company's existing MI355X and MI300X series GPUs are already powering some OpenAI workloads, particularly excelling in AI inference for large language models due to their substantial memory capacity and bandwidth capabilities.
In an unprecedented move, the deal includes equity participation for OpenAI. AMD has granted the AI company options to purchase up to 160 million AMD shares, representing a potential 10% ownership stake. The equity arrangement is structured in tranches, with the first portion vesting alongside the initial 1-gigawatt deployment. Additional tranches will become available as OpenAI scales up to the full 6-gigawatt capacity.
The final equity tranche is tied to AMD's stock performance, vesting only when shares reach $600. This represents a significant milestone considering AMD closed at $164.67 on Friday before surging to $222.24 on Monday—a remarkable 35% jump following the deal announcement.
This partnership aligns with OpenAI's aggressive strategy to secure diverse chip partnerships as it races to expand AI infrastructure. The company is simultaneously developing five new Stargate data centers with a planned 7-gigawatt total capacity, requiring massive computing resources from multiple suppliers.
"We are thrilled to partner with OpenAI to deliver AI compute at massive scale," stated Dr. Lisa Su, AMD's Chair and CEO. "This partnership brings the best of AMD and OpenAI together to create a true win-win enabling the world's most ambitious AI buildout and advancing the entire AI ecosystem."
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman described the collaboration as "a major step in building the compute capacity to realize AI's full potential," emphasizing the strategic importance of securing adequate computing resources for future AI development.
This AMD deal represents just one component of OpenAI's broader chip procurement strategy. Recent weeks have seen a flurry of partnerships, including Nvidia's commitment to invest up to $100 billion while supplying at least 10 gigawatts of computing power. OpenAI also secured a $10 billion agreement with Broadcom for custom AI chip development and manufacturing.
The company's Stargate initiative, developed in partnership with Oracle and SoftBank, continues expanding its scope. Additionally, OpenAI recently finalized agreements with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix to source DRAM memory chips for the Stargate project and establish data centers in South Korea.
These strategic partnerships highlight the intense competition for AI computing resources and OpenAI's commitment to avoiding dependence on any single supplier. By diversifying its chip partnerships across multiple vendors, OpenAI aims to ensure reliable access to the massive computing power required for next-generation AI development while potentially reducing costs through competitive sourcing.

OpenAI integrates third-party apps directly into ChatGPT conversations
OpenAI launches apps inside of ChatGPT

OpenAI announced at DevDay 2025 that developers can now build interactive applications directly inside ChatGPT. Users can access apps from companies like Booking.com, Spotify, Figma, and Zillow by simply typing their names in conversations.
Unlike the separate GPT Store, these apps appear directly in ChatGPT responses, allowing seamless integration with everyday conversations. Users can ask "Figma, turn this sketch into a diagram" or search for apartments through Zillow's interactive map interface.
The system uses Model Context Protocol and will support monetization features, though privacy questions around data access remain unclear.

MrBeast says AI could threaten creators' livelihoods, calling it 'scary times' for the industry

Top creator warns AI threatens millions making content for living.
YouTube's biggest creator MrBeast has expressed serious concerns about artificial intelligence threatening the livelihoods of content creators worldwide. Despite having experimented with AI technology himself, Jimmy Donaldson took to social media Monday to question how AI-generated videos could impact "millions of creators currently making content for a living," calling the situation "scary times."
As the No. 1 creator on Forbes' 2025 list with $85 million in earnings and 634 million followers, MrBeast's influence across the industry is enormous. His public concerns about AI's existential threat to the creator economy suggest smaller creators are likely even more worried about their future prospects.
The timing of his comments follows OpenAI's recent launch of Sora 2, an advanced audio and video generator with a mobile app that allows users to create AI videos of themselves. The app quickly became the No. 1 download on the U.S. App Store, demonstrating widespread interest in AI video creation tools.
YouTube has also heavily integrated AI into its platform, offering creators editing tools that use its Veo video model to animate photos and apply different styles to content. The company has embedded AI throughout its ecosystem, from creating clips and highlights to powering chatbots in YouTube Studio.
MrBeast's relationship with AI has been complicated. This summer, he faced significant backlash after releasing an AI thumbnail creation tool on his analytics platform Viewstats. He quickly removed the feature and promised to replace it with links to human artists available for commission work.
The creator industry remains divided on AI's impact. While some debate whether AI will democratize content creation or still require human creativity for quality results, others dismiss AI-generated content as low-quality "slop." There are also concerns that undisclosed AI usage could damage creators' relationships with their audiences and harm their reputations in an industry built on authenticity and trust.
